Midjourney tests new image processing features
Midjourney, the platform known for its powerful AI image creations, introduces three new features that give users even more control and freedom in image editing. The features include an external image editor, an advanced texture adjustment tool and a revamped moderation system. These additions focus on both creative flexibility and improved user experience and are currently being tested by a select group of users.
The new image editor: easily modify images
The new external image editor allows users to upload their own images and edit them directly within the Midjourney platform. This tool allows you to expand images, crop them and even add or modify specific elements. This means users can not only create new creations, but also modify existing images to their liking. For content creators, designers and marketers, this is a valuable addition that helps them work quickly and flexibly on visual content.
Retexturing function: full control over textures and lighting
With the introduction of the "retexturing" feature, Midjourney goes one step further. This feature allows you to completely change textures, materials and lighting in an image. Editing is done through intuitive text commands, where you select specific parts of the image to make detailed adjustments. Whether you want to adjust a light source, add a different material, or create a completely different mood, the retexturing tool provides extensive options for precise image editing.
New AI moderation system: smarter and more flexible assessment
In addition to the editing features, Midjourney has introduced an updated, smarter moderation system that is AI-driven. This system not only reviews individual prompts, but also looks at images and masks as a whole, making it more effective and accurate. The moderation system is designed to reduce false notifications and unjustified restrictions. Midjourney calls this update the most advanced AI moderator to date and expects it to provide more creative freedom without sacrificing safety and quality.
Exclusive access for experienced users and loyal members
In the current testing phase, these features are available exclusively to a select group of Midjourney users. Access will be granted to users who have already created more than 10,000 images, people with an annual subscription and loyal subscribers who have been members for at least 12 months. With this, Midjourney targets experienced and loyal users, who already know the platform intensively and can provide valuable feedback.
